Well informed sources in the Northern hemisphere have it that the original Swedish Hercules Boogie is about to reconfigure in the end of May -97. This unique event will give its participants the opportunity to skydive with some of the best organizers around, and party to groundrushan levels.
"The next Generation" has become some sort of internal war cry among the new organizers of the Hercules Boogie. Chairman and God of everything, Nisse Bernhardsson, (pronounces burn-hards-on) explains why:
We have gotten rid of some of the drunken old farts that crippled the organisation the last hundred years or so. OK, so they made friends with the Paratroopers and the guys in the Air Force, got hold of their Hercules, invented the computerized manifest, delivered the best organizers in the universe and made this boogie the smoothest running in the world, but so what? Now is the time to look ahead. So, forward into the future we go.
Quality organizers
According to the new generation of organizers, the -97 Boogie will focus on one main issue: Quality. The organizer of the organizers and foremost quality controller Espen Skancke, states:
To enhance the quality of the jumping at a boogie, you need a good airship, which we have, some reasonably priced air space, which we have arranged, and organizers that are second to none when it comes to get people to exceed themselves. This year we offer the choice between Pete Allum (UK), Dieter Kirsch (GER), Gareth Holder (UK/USA), Markku Teivainen (FIN), Rickard Janz (SWE) and approx. ten more of the same magnitude. Of course there are video debriefs on all organized jumps, and a pool of video men for those of you who want to go your own way.
Quality jumps
Come here, jump cheap, jump a lot and jump with quality, says Nisse Bernhardsson. We'll make sure that our jumper-to-organizer ratio, will be enough to ensure everybody to be able to jump in organized big-ways all the time. Also, there will be on-going competitions, big ones, which you can only pull off with the kind of organisation we have at the Hercules Boogie. To be able to manifest, all you have to do is look in your logbook, spot a minimum of 200 jumps and follow the instructions at the south-east corner of this publication. See ya!
