Hercules Boogie FAQ
Most recently asked question first.
- Q: Will I have to buy a case of beer for my first Hercules jump?
- A: Pheew... what a question. You mean you never jumped one before?
- Q:Will I be able to read rec.skydiving and my email while at the boogie?
- A: We're working on getting an extra phone line for this purpose, and have an Internet stand so people can try netsurfing and all that lovely stuff. Maybe you can even show them your home page!
- Q: What can I do with my time in the case of bad weather?
- A: In the case of what? We don't do bad weather in Sweden. If, for some odd reason, you're not up in the air, there'll be lots of other stuff to do. There will be at least one pinball machine: Whirlwind, probably a FunHouse and a Twilight Zone as well. Then there's a great many nice sites to see in the surrounding areas such as castles, lakes, woods, beer joints, saunas, you name it.
- Q: Is a there a limitation on the size of the groups that leave the ramp?
- A: No. Previous boogies have had a minimum of, typically, 8 jumpers per group to manifest, but this will not be the case this year.
- Q: What's the exit altitude?
- A: In Sweden, we normally never exit below 4000m (13500 feet) and the Boogie is no exception.
- Q: Ask me no questions...
- A: ...I'll tell you no lies.
