The Hercules Boogie is a big formation boogie, where skydivers from all around the globe join up to skydive and party in Sweden.

The boogie was organized for the first time in 1982, and has been back about every second year ever since. Our goal is to provide cheap, safe, high quality jumping combined with serious partying. Our concept seems to go down well - the boogie has continuously developed into being the largest skydiving event in Europe!

The arrangement is a co-operation between Cirrus Göteborg Skydiving Club, the Swedish Air Force and the Special Forces Corps. As the name implies, we use the Hercules, i.e. Lockheed C-130, to jump from, normally operated by the Swedish Air Force.

Hovby Airport outside the city of Lidköping, is the dropzone, the same spot as previous boogies. At Hovby there are large areas for landing and excellent camping areas etc. The city of Lidköping is situated about 110 km northeast of Göteborg.

There are plenty of activities for non-skydivers in and around Lidköping. The countryside around Lidköping is one of the oldest parts of Sweden and has a very interesting mixture of historic scenes dating all the way back to days then the Vikings explored the world. It is also pretty close to amusement parks and lakes with nice beaches. Information about this will be available at the dropzone, and if you are interested in this information before you get here, just e-mail us and we'll fix that.

As a non skydiver, we will also give you the oppurtunity to do a tandem jump!
