As you all probably know, skydiving from a Hercules - or Lockheed C-130 which is the official name of this magnificent aircraft - is every skydivers dream. An important issue for the  2002 boogie was to increase the jump capacity by doing one long pass with two different landing areas for the jumpers. It was a sucsess! We will do the same 2004.

Some facts about the C-130:

  • a four engine aircraft with 4 x 4508 hp
  • ramp exits
  • it takes less than 7 minutes to get to 13500 ft
  • it takes 80 skydivers in one lift
  • at exit, the C-130 has a speed of 120 knots
  • The Swedish Air Force supplies with jumpmasters

The enormous power of the machine will be clear to you if you read the story of what happened when the aircraft carried 450 passengers!
