The Manifest

Berndt Hybner - Responsible for the manifest

And who am I? I guess some people would describe me as some sort of computer geek. As it has been my occupation for the past 15 years, I can only say it´s a occupational injury.... :-) I´ve been around the sport for 10 years now, although for different reasons there haven´t always been as much jumping during those years as I wanted to... Boogies are my passion though, and this one I will not miss!

This time we are making a big change in the manifest area when we are switching our old computer system (it has served us well for over 15 years!) to something a lot more state of the art. Not only will that ensure us being able to provide you with a more efficient way of manifest yourself and your groups, but as well being able to make the loading faster (which in its turn will make us all able to do more jumps during the Hercules Boogie!)

Please let me know any opinions, suggestions or improvements you would like to see when it comes to the manifest or IT operations.

See ya in August -02

/Berra

Loading

Ulf Wallin - Responsible for the loading

Who am I? Well, I'm not 16, I'm not from Mars but my mom says I'm particularly handsome. If you don't know me, you have never been to the Hercules boogie. I am Uffe, Uffe Wallin. My goal in life is to build a portable sauna. In short, I will never say no to a party and I know a good one when I see it - I am the party! Whisky (single malt) is another of my preferences - bring me a bottle or two and I guarantee you a good exit slot.

I've been around this place since Jesus walked around in shorts. I started skydiving -91 and have been a hang-around at the local DZ since -86, so I got to know the lingo before I learned how to do it….. I'm in charge of the "loading area". This is the place where you get your seating in the Herc. I give you the rules concerning exits, who gets out at what time, and will remind you to do a last check of your gear etc.

What's new this time? Well, I decided to burn up the benches and….from now on a 30 minutes call will be a real 30 minutes call. No more boring wait at the loading mockup! And - there will also be only ONE jumprun. This enables us to speed up the loads considerably.

And yes, Gareth - you are 1st on 1st , and Markku - you are 1st on 2nd or….something similar. No, Danish videographers will still not be allowed to hookturn. Norwegian flags are strictly forbidden. Further on, I will see to it that the bar, as usual, never closes. Free beers tomorrow!

C-ya at Herc boogie 2002 - we´re gonna have a BIG BLAST.

/Uffe
