Are you here within a group, if so, how big is the group?
45% came on their own, while the rest came in groups.

Have you been here before?
60% of the participants at the 1997 Hercules Boogie were there for the first time. 30% are regulars.

In 1997 a majority of our visitors were rookies, which we believe is the result of our extensive marketing preceding the boogie.

At the boogie

How many jumps have you made during the boogie?
The average number of jumps made by each participants was 13.

How many had you planned to do?
The jumpers had expected to make an average of 23 jumps per person.

As you can see from the figures above, most of our guests did not make the expected number of jumps. One reason for the low numbers is of course the weather. Approximately two full days were lost because of bad weather, but the main reason is a miscalculation on our side on the number of participants and the length of each stay.

For the boogie of 2000 we have made the following improvements to make sure that you will be even more satisfied next time around. First of all, we have put the boogie off a couple of weeks to ensure a more stable weather situation. Secondly, we have made a large improvement in flight capacity by having two C-130s at your disposal, instead of one. Furthermore, there will be a limit in the number of participants (make sure you register in advance!). As an extra bonus you’ll get two more days of skydiving since the boogie will last ten days.

Largest succeeded formation?
The largest succeeded formation made at the boogie was 24-way at an average.
